About:
LKBinDB is a small and quick database management
system (DBMS). It is useful when installation and
usage of a general-purpose database (such as MySQL
or PostgreeSQL) is unavailable. It is very easy to
use, and does not require any special modules. It
supports simple SQL.

Hm, how does it stack against free and extremely widely used SQLite?

SQLite is more powerfull and written on C (I know that bindings exist for
nearly any language), but LKBinDB is more simple, does not require
istallation (compilation and installation of module for perl DBD::SQLite),
and more easy to use.
For example I use it in one of my project which simply logs visits to my
internal (corporate) site, and this is done by 5 lines of code.
And at last LKBinDB copies Delphi/C++Builder TTable component (which is
pretty usefull even with out of SQL knowledge) .
